Paul Schrader ha inserito nella sua top 10 del decennio First Reformed

Molte testate giornalistiche hanno pubblicato la top 10 dei migliori film del decennio 2010-2019. Alcuni registi hanno deciso di stilare anche la loro e Paul Schrader ha pubblicato la sua classifica su Film Comment. La posizione più curiosa è proprio la prima, dove ha deciso di inserire First Reformed – La Creazione a Rischio, diretto da egli stesso.

Lo sceneggiatore di Taxi Driver ha inserito nella sua top 10: Sils Maria (Olivier Assayas), Parola di Dio (Kirill Serebrennikov), Ida (Paweł Pawlikowski), The Irishman (Martin Scorsese), Boyhood (Richard Linklater), Burning (Lee Chang-dong), Dolor Y Gloria (Pedro Almodovar), The Tree of Life (Terrence Malick), Leviathan (Andrei Zvjagincev) e infine il già citato First Reformed.

Paul Schrader negli ultimi giorni ha anche parlato del suo prossimo progetto su Facebook:

Tutti i film che ho scritto o diretto circolano intorno al suicidio. Credo di avere un altro film dentro di me. Si chiamerà The Card Coounter e vedrà nel cast Oscar Isaac, Tiffany Haddish, Tye Sheridan e Willem Dafoe.
