I mercenari è un brand action piuttosto noto, composto da tre titoli e che ha portato vecchie glorie del cinema d’azione insieme su schermo come Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren e molti altri. La saga, iniziata nel 2010, si è fermata oramai nel 2014 e non è più continuata, nonostante ci fossero delle possibilità che adesso vedremo a breve.
Difatti, da un po’ si vociferava della possibilità di proseguire con uno script già in mano alla produzione. Purtroppo però, come è stato ripreso da Screen Rant, nonostante il copione sembra molto promettente, è probabile che il quarto capitolo non verrà mai realizzato, come poi ha confermato la star della trilogia Randy Couture, che ha detto che i lavori non sono ancora all’orizzonte e non si sa effettivamente nulla sull’inizio delle riprese.
